Free Team Read Tutoring at West Seattle Elementary

Published

West Seattle Elementary is partnering with Team Read to offer free after-school reading tutoring for selected second- and third-grade students. The program helps strengthen reading fluency, comprehension, and confidence.

Program details

Who: Selected second- and third-grade students approaching grade-level reading expectations.
When: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:30–5:30 p.m.
Cost: Free.
Transportation: Families are responsible for student drop-off and pick-up.

How families take part

Teachers recommend students based on beginning-of-year MAP and DIBELS reading assessments. If your child has been recommended, Team Read will contact your family to discuss participation and next steps. Please watch for a phone call from Team Read.

This is a program for selected students, rather than a drop-in activity. Confirm session dates and location with Team Read when they contact you.
